FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
We offer one-on-one, confidential coaching and support to educators, school leaders, and support staff. Sessions take place via Zoom or phone. Our focus is emotional wellness, professional resilience, leadership reflection, identity-based support, behavior challenges, conflict resolution, and other school-based stressors. This is not therapy, and clients are not required to have a formal diagnosis or treatment plan.
You will be matched with clients based on your own professional background.
If you are a current or former administrator, you may work with teachers, support staff, or other administrators.
If you are a superintendent or district leader, you may be matched with principals or district-level leaders.
If you are a teacher leader or certificated coach, you may support support staff or newer educators.
We take care to align each coach with clients they can relate to and support effectively.
No. This is not a therapy platform. However, all coaches must have school-based experience in a certificated role and must have supervised, mentored, or coached adults in an educational setting. You do not need to hold a mental health license, but you must be a reflective practitioner with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Yes. All coaches are required to carry their own professional liability insurance. This is essential and best practice for anyone providing consulting services.
This protects both you and the client in the rare event that someone claims they were harmed as a result of professional advice, educational support, or decisions made based on your coaching. Even though our work is non-clinical, coaching involves trust, discretion, and reflection—and having insurance is a standard safeguard for professionals who give guidance in any form.
We recommend a policy that covers at least $1 million in liability. Affordable coverage is available from several national carriers, and we’re happy to suggest options during onboarding.
You choose how many hours you are available per week. Some coaches offer one session a week. Others open more time depending on their schedule. We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 available hours per month.
No. Most of our coaches use this as part-time or project-based income. It’s a flexible, client-focused role where you set your own calendar and capacity.
You will be expected to:
Listen with care and professionalism.
Create a supportive space for reflection, problem-solving, or emotional processing.
Offer guidance based on your experience and the client’s stated needs
Maintain confidentiality and report concerns when required.
All sessions follow our supportive coaching model.
No formal evaluation or documentation is required beyond basic session notes.
Pay is based on experience, certification, and session type. Most coaches are paid per completed session. We will discuss compensation in your onboarding conversation.
You do not need to market yourself. Our intake team matches clients with coaches based on role, availability, and focus area. You will be contacted when someone is placed with you, and you can confirm or decline based on your availability.
Yes. All coaches receive onboarding materials and a brief orientation. Ongoing opportunities to connect with other coaches, access shared tools, or receive feedback are offered throughout the year.
Fill out the short interest form on our website, and we will follow up with next steps. If selected, you’ll be invited to a short Zoom conversation where we’ll learn more about your background and answer any remaining questions.
